Maria Henriqueta Galvao (Tica), 84, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 6, 2019. Born in Brava, Cape Verde on January 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joao T. and Belmira (Anahory) deSena. She was the wife of the late Hilario L. Galvao for 36 years.
She is survived by three daughters and five sons. Arlete Galvao Vincente and husband Jorge of Pawtucket, Virginia Barros and husband Jack of North Providence, RI, Aureliana Fernandes and husband Fernando of Central Falls, RI, Telmo Galvao and wife Lena of Quincy, MA, Jack Galvao and wife Quita of Lincoln, RI, Ari Galvao and wife Lauriann of Attleboro, MA, Celso Galvao and wife Maura of Greenville, RI, Hilario Galvao and wife Samira of Pawtucket, RI. She was the mother of the late Onelia Galvao. She leaves behind ten grandchildren, Stephanie Hansbury, Jonathan Barros, Kevin Barros, Derek Galvao, Ashley Galvao, Driston Galvao, Taylor Galvao, Brandon Galvao, Driany Galvao, Samantha Galvao, and three great-grandchildren, Giuliana & Jack Hansbury and Mason Barros and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria Nunes, Onelia Melo, Mario deSena, and Helder A. deSena, and is survived by Helena Nunes, Adelaide Pinto, Rita Barbosa, Madelena Schofield, Eunice Faria, and Francisco deSena.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 9th from 5pm until 8pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln RI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 10th, at 10AM in St Mary's Catholic Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket.
ALL SERVICES TUESDAY begin at St Mary's Catholic Church.
