Nivia Garcia, 69, of Barrington, passed unexpectedly on October 12th. She was the loving wife of Joao A. Garcia. Born in Cinco Ribeiras Terceira Azores, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Basilio S. and Maria (Filomena) Lima.
Nivia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, especially to her granddaughter Melodi.
Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter, Jessica Garcia; a granddaughter, Melodi Helena; three siblings, Fatima Lima, Filomena Sousa, Ilberto Lima; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 17th from 4:00 - 7:00PM at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Services will begin at 8:30AM on Friday, October 18th at Keefe Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Mary Church, Pine St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited.
