Alvaro F. Gomes, 72, of Pawtucket, passed on October 14th in Providence, RI. Born in Brava, Cape Verde he was a son of the late Antonio P. and Virginia Fortes (Depina) Gomes.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Gomes and Richard Gomes; brothers, Humberto Fortes Gomes, Joao Fortes Gomes, Viriato Fortes Gomes, Francisco Fortes Gomes and Manuel Fortes Gomes; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Alivia; 31 nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 8:30AM - 10:00AM at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral service at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited.
