Wilfredo Melendez, 47, passed away in the early morning of Friday November 29, 2019 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Melendez. They shared over 12 years of companionship, love and children along with marriage. Born in Brooklyn, New York on November 10, 1972, he was the son of Maria Soledad Sanchez and predeceased Wilfredo Melendez Sr. He was employed at Auto Zone as a store manager. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family, loved his family and friends, would take the shirt of his back for others. He was a loving husband, soul mate, best friend to his wife Lisa. He was loving, protective and supportive father to all his children whom called him "Witty". He was a son, a brother, best friend, friend to many! He will always be remembered for who he was. Willy is survived by his wife Lisa Melendez, his children, Christopher Carrasco, Pierina Carrasco, Lizmarlin Munoz, Mya Melendez, Stephanie Melendez, his mother-in-law Eredia Carrasco, his mother Maria Soledad Sanchez, his brothers, Juan Sanchez and Hector Pagan, along with family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 11:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. and from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI 02865. Burial is private.
