Pedro Julio Guante, 85, passed peacefully on December 21, 2019. Known lovingly as "Don Julio," Pedro was born February 14, 1934, in Hato Mayor del Rey, Dominican Republic. He was the son of the late Pedro Guante and Emoenia Belen. Pedro is survived by a loving family made up of three siblings: Maria, Eduardo, and Salvador; six biological children: Ana Hilda, Corpus, Jacqueline, Maiky, Pedro Jr., and Ivan; a step-daughter, Daisy, and their respective spouses. Pedro also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Pedro had many friends who easily turned into family and was always welcoming and generous. He dedicated his career to cooking for many people around the world and took pride in bringing joy to his friends and family through food. Pedro enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and could easily be the life of any party. He fought a long and hard battle and will be greatly missed.

The wake will take place Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 1 PM - 4 PM at Iglesia Pentecostes Jesucristo Fuente de Vida, 1025 Plainfield Street, Johnston, RI 02919.



Pedro Julio Guante, de 85 años, falleció pacíficamente el 21 de Diciembre de 2019. Conocido cariñosamente como "Don Julio," Pedro nació el 14 de febrero de 1934 en Hato Mayor del Rey, República Dominicana. Era hijo de los difuntos Pedro Guante y Emoenia Belen. A Pedro le sobreviven una familia amorosa compuesta por tres hermanos: María, Eduardo y Salvador; seis hijos biológicos: Ana Hilda, Corpus, Jacqueline, Maiky, Pedro Jr. e Ivan; una hijastra, Daisy, y sus respectivos conyugues. Pedro también deja 22 nietos y 11 bisnietos. Fue un devoto padre, hermano, abuelo, bisabuelo, tío y amigo. Pedro tenía muchos amigos que fácilmente se convertían en familia y siempre era acogedor y generoso. Dedicó su carrera a cocinar para muchas personas en todo el mundo y se enorgulleció de llevar alegría a sus amigos y familiares a través de la comida. Pedro disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos y fácilmente podría ser la vida de cualquier fiesta. Él peleó una batalla larga y dura y lo extrañaremos mucho.
