Antonio Pereira Nascimento, 92, passed on January 24th. He was husband of Irene (Bans) Nascimento.
He was born in Santo Antao, Cape Verde, he was a son of the late Manuel Joana and Maria M. Pereira.
Mr. Nascimento had been employed by Shell in Sao Vicente and then retired after working many years at School House Candy, Pawtucket. Besides his wife he is survived by six children, Alberto P. Nascimento, Maria Goncalves, Odette DeBarros, Crisanta Bans, Jose Nascimento, Angela Bans, twelve grandchildren, Stephanie, Natasha, Adam, Lillian, Ashley, Kayla, Vanessa, Tanya, Gianne, Mariah, Joshua and Austin and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 31st from 5pm until 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. His funeral will assemble Saturday, February 1st starting at 10:30am in the Funeral Home with a service at 11am. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence.
