Rodney Hue Proffit, 67, of Providence, RI, passed on February 28th. Born in Providence, RI, the son of the late Robert Easter and Esther May (Eldkerin) Proffit.
He graduated from Central High School, Providence, RI.
He had been employed as a Steel Worker by the former Collyer Wire for many years;
He is survived by son, Curtis Proffit, his companion, Tracey Broughey, two grandchildren, Kaylin Proffit and Marcus Broccoli, four siblings, Charles Proffit, Walter Proffit, Barbara Proffit Wilson and Esther Proffit and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5th from 5pm until 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
