Mary Ricci, 94, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at Saint Antoine's Residence in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. Mary was born on March 1, 1925 in Providence, Rhode Island to Francesco and Anina (D'Martino) Abbatematteo. She had a successful career as owner and proprietor of Maria Ritz Hair Salon. She married Arthur J. Ricci on June 13, 1948. Anybody that ever had the privilege of spending time with Mary knew she had a heart of gold and a love for cooking Italian food which everybody loved. She was very family oriented and loved getting the family together no matter the occasion.
Mary is preceded in death by her brothers; Antonio, Alfred and Joseph Abbatematteo; sister Louise Biernacki, and son Arthur J Ricci Jr. Mary is survived by her beloved daughter, Patricia Ann and son-in-law Thomas H. Vincent Jr.; her brother, F. Donald Abbatematteo and wife Grace; her grandson Thomas A. Vincent and wife Jill; her granddaughter Marisa L. Vincent and her companion David. Mary also leaves behind 4 great grandchildren, Destiny, Alannah, Zachary and Jaclyn Vincent whom she loved dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 10th at 11:00am at the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Immediately following, we will gather at St. Ann Cemetery, Church St., Cranston.
