Carol Louise (Large) Pollock, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1st 2020 at Mount St. Rita Heath Centre in Cumberland, R.I. Born in 1941 in Pawtucket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Frank Large and Helen (Swift) Large Maneely, and sister of the late David Large.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Cumberland, R.I. and she was a member of the Cumberland Community Methodist Church. As a child, Carol enjoyed spending time at her family’s dairy farm, Highland View Farm, in Cumberland, R.I. Throughout her life she enjoyed working as a waitress where she made lifelong friends at Dienno’s Kitchen and Crickets Restaurant before she retired.
After Carol retired, she dearly loved spending time and traveling with her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She spent many summer vacations at the beaches in R.I. with fond memories of time spent with the Pollock family and friends. She especially loved to spend time in Aruba, relaxing on the beach and enjoying the sunset with her husband Robert. Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother, and deeply cared for others.
Left to honor and remember Carol is her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert J. Pollock of Cumberland. Also, her daughter Cynthia (Pollock) Benoit and husband Arthur Benoit III; her daughter Tracey Pollock-Tiberio, all of Cumberland; her grandchildren Matthew Benoit and his wife Nicole Benoit of Westerly, R.I., Melissa Benoit of Cumberland and Christian Tiberio of Cumberland and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral and burial will be private and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount St Rita Health Centre, Cumberland R.I.
