Chece, Pasquale (Pasco), J Jr, 89, of North Providence, RI and West Palm Beach, Fl passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Hope Hospice surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. Pasco was the husband of the late Virginia E. (Danz) Chece and father to the late David P Chece. Pasco was the son of the late Pasquale Chece and Louise (Pascale) Chece. He is survived by his five children, Eileen A. Chece of Cranston, RI, Dr. Stephen D. Chece and his wife Marie of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, David P. Chece of Lincoln RI, Paul A Chece and his wife Joy of Lincoln, RI and Patricia J. Schmiedeknecht and her husband Wayne of Cranston, RI. Pasco was blessed with 12 loving grandchildren, Nicholis, Dustin, Spencer, Luke, Thomas, Emily, Molly, Kimberly, Ella and Paula Chece, Allison Melino and Grace Schmiedeknecht and great-grandfather of 5. Pasco was the youngest of 4 children, his late brother John Chece and is survived by his two sisters Palma Forte and Anna DeAngelis. Pasco was the President of Holiday Home Builders and over the course of 50 years he and his late partner William Forte as well as Pasco’s two sons, David and Paul Chece built well over 500 homes throughout the state of RI (mostly in the towns of Lincoln and Cumberland). Pasco was a master carpenter and contractor who was highly respected in his trade for being a man of multiple talents. Pasco and his late wife Virginia, of over 50 years were well traveled and they retired to West Palm Beach during the winters. Pasco was Captain of the Seven C’s as he enjoyed boating, the outdoors, and his Cadillacs. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends and always emphasized the importance of family values. Visiting hours will be held Monday, September 14th at Keefe Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 15th at 11am at St. Anthony’s Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and encouraged to practice appropriate COVID-19 guidelines
