Margaret L. Wood was welcomed to her eternal home on September 13, 2020, of natural causes. Margaret was born to Ned and Ella Little on October 1, 1928 in Lockesburg, Arkansas. Margaret received her call to missionary service at age 16 at a camp meeting in Scottsville, Texas. From that moment forward, her life’s goal was to fulfill that call. She graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma where she also met her husband. In 1952, the Church of the Nazarene commissioned the young couple to full-time missionary service. Over the course of 40 years, they served in Cabo Verde and Brazil, training pastors, evangelists and church leaders for the work of ministry. Margaret was known as a renown pianist, vibrant Bible teacher, and sacrificial servant of the church and God she so loved. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Rev. Dr. J. Elton Wood, her daughter Carol Lima and husband Rev. Dr. Elizeu Lima, granddaughter, Shayla Lima Curalov and her children, Margaret’s 3 great-grandchildren - Chelsey, Celynna, and Caleb Curalov, and her grandson, Pr. Shane Lima, and his wife Alynne Lima.
