60 of Casselberry, FL, was killed in a plane crash off the coast of Northern California. He was the husband of Judi Gustafson.
Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Henry and Eunice (Christianson). Rick was a die-hard Miami Dolphin Fan, Biker, Golfer and loved to cook. Graduate of Hialeah High School, Hialeah, Florida, 1967. He served in the United States Army 1968-1972 and was a 101st Airborne Paratroopers.
Rick is survived by one daughter, Sheila "Lotti" Jenkins of Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Pawtucket, RI. His brother Robert Gustafson, of Boynton Beach, FL, two grandsons, Edward T. Vargulish III and Steven Jenkins, both of Hollywood, FL, one nephew, Jeremy Handle of Cleveland, OH.
There will be a Remembrance Memorial on Saturday, March 21st at Victorio's, 300 Dog Track Rd., Longwood, FL from 6-10pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 22nd at Unity Church of Christianity, 4801 Clarcona Ocoee Rd. Orlando, FL at 2pm. Local arrangements by the Keefe Funeral Home.
