As was her way, in her own time, after saying goodbye to her youngest, on Wednesday Nov 4, Martha A LaBrosse left her fight with Alzheimer’s behind and passed into her place with God.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 55 years, Luc R. LaBrosse, their 3 children, Jeanne Mickelson-Coonfield, Thomas and Richard LaBrosse. The youngest of 7 born to Peter and Alice Mitson, she is also mourned by her siblings; Jean Shirhall, Richard and Paul Mitson. She was a loving and doting Grandma to five grand and three great grandchildren.
A devoted wife and mother as well as an active church member at St Jude’s in Lincoln, Martha lived with a keen eye to the beauty other might miss and a dry humor that could leave you in stitches, from laughter or the alternative if you were deserving. She lived a life of example. She taught her children both strength of character and compassion and enriched her husband’s life in so many ways. Her impact on this world is neither small nor fleeting. She will be missed sorely by all who knew her.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, November 7th at 9am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Lincoln at 11am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
