Sarah (Sally) Allard, 97 years old, of Central Falls, passed away on November 20,2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Jennie (Burns) Dufresne and the late Delor Dufresne. She resided in Central Falls all of her life.
She is survived by her daughter Colleen P. Allard-Beaulieu and her husband Roger (Butch) Beaulieu of Central Falls. She is survived by her granddaughter, Renee (Beaulieu) Rodrigues & her husband Nelson Rodrigues of Pawtucket and their children Athena & Bryce Rodrigues. She is survived by her grandson, Jeffery M. Beaulieu and his wife, Amy Amaral Beaulieu of Cumberland and their children, Sydney & Julian Beaulieu.She is the sister of the late Delor Dufresne, Jennie Tremblay, Edna Abrames, Eileen Cataldo, Edith Lepore, all of Central Falls. The late Agatha Latour of Somerset, Ma. & the late Theresa McDiarmid of Kissimmee, Florida.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She loved doing crafts with her daughter and she loved to crochet. She was an avid hockey fan. She attended & watched the Boston Bruins games. She also loved the Boston Celtics. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage because of her mother coming from County Cork Ireland to the US at the age of 7 years old. Once she met someone and liked them she “adopted them as Irish on her side of the family.” She held “sister day” every Wednesday at her home so that some of her sisters could all get together to have lunch and spend the day enjoying each others company.
She was employed by Coats Field on the Central Fall/ Pawtucket line as a sales associate. She did the same at Ann & Hope in Cumberland. She also worked at Emblem Supply Company in Central Falls which made military insignias for the different military branches.
Family & friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, R.I. 02865
A mass of Christian burial will be at St. Mary Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket, R.I. 02860 at 11:30 AM.Please omit flowers. Instead please consider a donation to be made in her memory to Nathan’s Angel’s, P.O. 7584, Cumberland, R.I. 02864 which helps to fight childhood cancer.
