Rafaela Roman, 85, of Providence, passed peacefully on November 26, 2020 at Roger Williams Hospital. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Celedonia Felicano and Lorenzo Roman.
She is survived by her children, Magdalia Valentin and Wilfredo Valentin; 16 grandchildren, Kiesha Roman, Antonio Roman, Michael Ortiz, Linda Ortiz, Victoria Valentin, Vallarie Valentin, Benjamin Valentin, Naomi Valentin, Robert Cruz, Rebecca Valentin, Edgar Medina, Larenzo Peterson, Christopher Peterson, Sierra Peterson, Eric Peterson; 34 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert Ortiz and Antonio Roman.
