It is with great sorrow, The Very Reverend Father Basil Theodore Madjoucoff Oakdale Avenue went to be with the Lord November 25, 2010.
Born in Jerusalem, Palestine, he was the son of a high priest. An Officer of the British Crown with the rank of Major who served Great Britain and the British Empire during the Second World War 1939-1945. Lived in England and then permanently resided in the United States.
Father Basil was ordained In Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1978 Dean and Pastor of the Greek Orthodox Church, Diocese of New England, Broadway, Pawtucket.
He served tirelessly the Greek community and assisted various churches with prayer and service.
Survived by his wife Anna Madjoucoff and two children daughter Maria Madjoucoff, son Theodore B. Madjoucoff, wife Jami Madjoucoff, 3 grandchildren and also leaves his older brother Athanas Salem and wife Lorice Salem and children.
A private funeral was held at the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church in Cumberland, RI.
