Geri Cordeiro, 79 lost her 10 year battle with Alzeheimers Jan. 20, 2021. Daughter of Duro and Martha (Dino) Nuri. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Cordeiro. Geri left behind her three brothers Ali, Donald and Duro Nuri and her two nieces Sarah and Emily Nuri.
Geri graduated from Central Falls High School in 1959 and Shepard Gil nursing school in 1961.
Her career in nursing spanned over 45 years at Notre Dame Hospital, Sturdy Memorial Hospital and Brown University. Geri and her brother Duro were co-founders of Café Zog in Providence.
She was also a member of Sheldon Whitehouse’s Providence staff. We would like to give special acknowledgement to her dear friends Annette, Marsha, Carol, Jeannie and Lauretta. Geri loved to paint, spend time at Sand Hill Cove, play bocce, cards and more than anything else loved to spend time with her family and friends.
