Anna Brousseau passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 27th at the age of 62. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, who made up the entirety of her world.
Anna was the loving daughter of Antonio Pires and Maria Neves Pires. She was a precious mother to her three children, Adam, Jarrod and Melissa Brousseau. Besides her children, she is remembered by her daughter in law, Erica Brousseau, and by her loving grandchildren Sydney and Victoria Brousseau. Anna also leaves behind siblings who loved her very much, two brothers Armand and David Pires, and sister, Susanne Cournoyer. She is also sister to the late Antonio Pires Jr. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
She was a longtime resident of Central Falls, Rhode Island where she was born on August 4th 1958. Anna dedicated her life to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, unofficial counselor, family storyteller, solver of problems, shoulder to cry on, and lover of life and books. She joyfully served as former secretary at the Jewish Community Center in Providence, Rhode Island. She was an avid singer and passionately served as a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Church choir.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4th at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland, RI 02864.
