Brenda Bonds, 73, of Providence, passed away on March 3, 2021 in Providence, R.I. She was the loving wife of Arthur "Ray" Vaughn. Born in Sanford, North Carolina she was a daughter of the late Mildred Murchison.
She worked at Beautiful Beginnings Childcare Center for many years and considered that her second home and family.
Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Rhonda "Peaches" Dowdy, Latarcia Bonds, Devonte Bonds; two sisters, Linda Dowdy and Jacqueline "Jackie" Dowdy; grandchildren, Carenda Dowdy, Dionne Dowdy, Denayshuia Dowdy, Michael Bonds Jr., Lacresha Bonds, Shaughn Michael Bonds, Ciara Bonds, Shamya Bonds, Shaquan Bonds, Quran Bonds, Dontaye cureton, D’Andre Bonds, D’onne Bonds, D’mauri Bonds, Elias Bonds; and 16 great-grandchildren. cousins, and friends. She was the mother of the late Michael and Lasell Bonds; sister of the late James Rudolph Dowdy, Charles Gene Dowdy, and Jarell "Jerby" Dowdy.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 13th from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial is private. Due to COVID-19, all are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Live streaming will be available.
