Maria C. Martins, of East Providence, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on April 21st in Providence, RI. Born in Cape Verde, she was a daughter of the late John and Aida (Lopes) Mendes.
She is survived by two sons, Nuno E. Monteiro, and Derrick Martins; a brother, Domingos Lopes; a sister, Julia Baptista; and a grandson, Kairo Monteiro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, May 1st from 9:00am – 12:00 noon at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Due to COVID-19, all are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
