Daniel (Velho) Barros, 82, of Dorchester, Ma., stepped into eternity on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021. Velho, was born January 29th, 1939 in Praia, Cabo Verde. He worked as a fisherman all his life in Cabo Verde until he immigrated to the United States of America in 1983. Velho worked in many places in America but his main job was at American Insulated Wire in Attleboro, Ma. He worked there until his retirement. Velho was a devoted father who dedicated his life for his family. He enjoyed traveling to nearby island of Brava to visit his family. He also enojoyed spending time with close friends and was a jokester with everyone. Velho is survived by his children and many grandchildren. He also left behind 4 brothers and 5 sisters whom he loved dearly.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, May 25th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am directly at St. John the Baptist Church, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited.
