Emilio Eugene Gonsalves, better known as
"Butterball & Bad Butter" 78 loving husband,father, grandfather, family man and friend was born in Providence, Rhode Island
March 9, 1943. He was the surviving child of Ella Gonsalves, Lumius Mangum and step son to Albert Gonsalves, Sr. family. Emilio was schooled in Providence where he met and married the love of his life, childhood sweetheart Paulette E. Price on November 24,1960.
Emilio leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Paulette (Sissy) Gonsalves and children Eugene Gonsalves , Christeen Gonsalves,Lanora Mangum,Shawn Wiley, Larissa Cooper, Danielle Cooper-McLaughin, Emilio Alves grands, great and great great grandchildren also his siblings Albert Gonsalves,Jr. Jackie Bliss, Pearl Henderson, Marvin & Sherbert Maddox along with a host of niece, nephews,cousins and in-laws who adored him and will miss him deeply. Emilio never met a stranger; he was a soldier for "MAP"Behavioral Health Services from 1989-2020 31 years (ending because of the pandemic). He was fearless, his passion was wildlife and adventure skydiving, cruise ship,surfing or swimming with the dolphins within the last 5-7 years always defying the odds.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Keefe Funeral Home, Lincoln from 1pm- 4pm.
