Gore, Frederick D. "Fred", 81, passed away peacefully on June 25th at home surrounded by his beloved wife Joan of 50 years and his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Gregory (Cristina) and Bryan (Paras), a grandson, Joseph and two granddaughters, Abby and Isabella. He was the brother of Mary Lancaster and brother-in-law of her late husband Bruce.
Fred graduated St Raphael Academy and then Providence College with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
Prior to his recent retirement as a CPA in private practice he was an enrolled agent for the IRS and served on numerous professional business boards. He was also an avid tennis player. He was the happiest holding his racquet and enjoying frequent adventures on his favorite vacation destination, Cape Cod.
In lieu of flowers, Fred has requested donations in his memory be made for Alzheimer’s research in the Memory Aging program located at Butler Hospital, 345 Blackstone Blvd 02906, or Hope Hospice of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St, Providence RI 02904
A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at a future date.
