On Friday, July 16, 2021, in the City of Cumberland, RI, Aaron James Jenkins passed from earth to glory, at the tender age of 25, at home with his beloved mother nearby.
Aaron was born October 16, 1995, in Providence, RI. He attended school in his formative years in Bathe, Maine, where he played football. While living in ME. Aaron enjoyed his life in ME and he loved playing and having fun with his cousins, riding bikes, and playing in the snow. At the delicate age of 10, Aaron returned to RI to deal with his new diagnosis of Cancer. During those trying times, Aaron was brave, as his family and friends rallied around him, providing him with much needed love and support. During the last couple of years, Aaron's body continued to challenge him as he struggled with the effects of Epilepsy. Aaron was brave during those trying times as his family and friends lovingly rallied around him. In spite of his health challenges, Aaron woke up everyday ready to go to work, to be the best employee he could be and this did not go unnoticed, for his job acknowledged Aaron’s strong work ethic and how he was a team player and helped out, without being asked. These qualities made Aaron a respected and valued employee. He did not go through this life without leaving his mark on this world and on everyone who he touched in one way or another. Aaron’s mark would be his loving and caring spirit, his infectious smile, and his love for his family, friends, and everyone he came in contact with. Aaron's personal passion and love was all about cooking and eating. He enjoyed every meal his mother and grandmother Jackie prepared for him. Aaron loved to make music and music was a high priority in his life. Aaron had a smooth flow not only with the mic, but also in how he approached this life. Aaron worked hard, loved hard and he played hard!
Aaron is survived by his Parents Dede James, and Emanuel Jenkins Jr., both of Providence RI; his Companion, Nina Cheek; Grandparents, Vanessa James, Everett Mitchell of RI; Grandparents, Jacqueline, and Emmanuel Jenkins Sr. of NC; Wanda and Lilly Brown of RI. Siblings, Destiny Harmon, Emanuel Costa Jenkins, Amanuel Rajon Reels Jenkins, Jermaine Perry and Kyrel Perry; Stepfather Jermaine Bell; Godparents Michelle Rose, Mildred Woods, and Jeffery Simpson; Goddaughter Adriana Lopez and his Best Friend Anthony "Bebo" Lopez. He was preceded in death by his Godfather John Corriea. He also leaves a host of God-Siblings, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends to mourn his passing. He will always be loved, forever missed and never forgotten, may he rest in peace.
Relatives and Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, July 23rd in the Keefe Funeral Home, Lincoln from 9-11am with a service at 11am. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
