Maria Jesus Daluz "Bia" formerly of Central Falls, RI, passed away August 13, 2021. She was the wife of Amilcar Cesar Daluz, they shared 15 years of marriage.
Born in São Tomé & Principe, to the late Joaquim Julia Gomes and Ana Maria Almeida Gomes. Maria and her family migrated to the United States 36 years ago, and she began her life as a factory worker.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Amilcar Daluz, her sister Alexandra Monteiro of Pawtucket, her brother Jose Gomes of Pawtucket and her children Helder Andrade of Cape Verde, Gabriela Gomes of Providence, Dora Gomes of Pawtucket, Heatherlee Delgado of Pawtucket, Khadyjia Delgado of Central Falls, and Shaijohn Delgado of Central Falls. Maria was also survived by 23 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 6 nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Orlando Gomes and great granddaughter Milani Lexie Andrade.
Maria was an outgoing and very outspoken person, she was the life of the party, as many may have known her as. She spoke several different languages and loved to travel. She was big on family and prided herself in making sure anyone needed anything.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 20th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 21st at 10:30am in the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Camp St., Providence. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
