Adelino (Didico) was born in Brava, Cape Verde and migrated to the United States at the age of 13. He settled in Pawtucket, RI. He worked as a machine operator for Collyer Wire. Didico had a love of motorcycles. He was so excited when he got his first job. He saved his money and purchased a Kawasaki motorcycle in his early 20s. He also enjoyed camping with family and friends. He was a great storyteller. When they sat around the fire, he would share stories from his childhood in Cape Verde. Whenever there was a party or celebration you could always find him on the dance floor. He was the king of Funana. Despite his struggles in life, he was a funny, kind, and loving person. He will be missed by many friends, nieces, nephews and relatives.
Throughout his life his family was always there to support him, especially his late Mother. He was the youngest of her children. We take solace in knowing that he is resting with her now.
