George R. Otis Sr., 85, of 16 Lyon St. in Pawtucket passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2021. He was the loving and beloved husband of Jacquelyn Otis. They had been married for 39 years.

George was born in Central Falls and lived in Cumberland for many years before residing in Pawtucket in 1987. He was the loving son of the late George F. Otis and Irene (Desailliers) Otis.

He was the owner of G and O Trucking and Roofing Business, drove for Corrigan Movers in the sixties, and was co-owner of Yankee Trader Antique Furniture Store in the seventies, and worked as maintenance at Landry & Martin Oil Company for 35 years, retiring in 2011.

George is survived by a loving and devoted wife Jacquelyn Otis; five sons David of Texas, Alan and Scott of Florida, George Jr. of Pawtucket, Calvin Ford of Texas; a daughter Rev. Missionary Lorenda Ford of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Josh, Sara, Kyle, Tiffany, Taylor, Calvin 4th, Denzell, Victoria and Eden; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Ella, Liam, Skylar and Riley; a brother, Albert Otis; two sisters, Rita Verardo and Joan Pytka; nieces and nephews.

George enjoyed Gospel music, traveling national and international, profound love for reading the Bible, traveling in his motor home with his wife and family. He was a communion server and active participant at Oasis of Grace Fellowship Church and enjoyed collecting antiques.

A Memorial Service will be held at Oasis of Grace Fellowship Church, 464 Silver Spring St. in Providence, Saturday, November 20th at 10:00am. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
