Jose Carlos Perpetua, 78, passed on December 19, 2021 at home with his wife and family by his side. He was the husband of Maria Fatima (Silva) Perpetua. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
Born in Terceira, Azores, he was a son of the late Carlos and Maria Do Carmo Perpetua.
Jose had been employed by Hope Webbing as a mechanic since in 1971 retiring in 2003 and enjoyed Benfica Soccer.
Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, Nelson Perpetua of California, two sisters, Eduarda Aguiar and Barbara Pereira, both of New Bedford, a brother-in-law Louie Silva and his wife Shannon Silva, a sister-in-law Zelia Galli, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Luis Perpetua.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21st from 6pm until 8pm in the funeral home.
