Lincoln: Francis R. Horton Sr, "Frank" 73, passed on January 9, 2022. he was the husband of Gloria (Alahverdian) Horton. They celebrated their 55th anniversary in July.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Nelson and Barbara (Gordon) Horton.
He had been employed by Twin River Casino of Lincoln for 15 years and previously he worked at Windmoller and Holsher also of Lincoln for many years.
Frank was a chairperson for the Boy Scouts of American and an avid fan of WWE. He enjoyed casinos and cruising the Caribbean with his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by two son, Joseph T. Horton, and Timothy B. Horton his wife Catherine, daughters, Lori Horton, Brittany Horton and Rosie Boyd, siblings Nelson Horton Jr., Barbara Palmer. Julia Kozoska, Maryann Prosser, John Horton, Edward Horton, Marguerite Marquis and Clayton Horton, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Frances R. Horton Jr., and brother of the late Jamie Horton and Carol Allard.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15th at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Please arrive prior to 10am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Friday from 4pm until 7pm.
