Laura J. Martins, 72, passed away on January 29th 2022. Born January 22nd 1950 in Brava, Cape Verde to the late Fortunato Tavares and Julia Martins.
She is survived by three daughters Sara Monteiro of Rehoboth, Onelia Da Silva of Central Falls, Julia Albertina Martins of New Bedford, three sons Jose Martins (Mocho) of Pawtucket, Joao Miranda of Pawtucket, and Jocelino Correa of Cumberland, six sisters and six brothers: Helena Martins of France, Maria I. Martins of Pawtucket, Napoleao Martins from New Bedford, Joao Tavares (deceased), Dulcelinda Duarte (deceased), Marie Gustave, Coroline Yves, Antonio Tavares, Julio Tavares, Daniel Tavares, Michael Tavares and Maria Tavares, sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 from 3pm to 6pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 7th at 10am directly at St. Anthony's Church, 32 Lawn Ave, Pawtucket, RI. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
