Born in Colombia, she came to the United States in 1983 and made her home in Pawtucket.
She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family and friends. Alicia is survived by her children, Karitzia Mejia, Eddie Mejia, and Renzo Mejia and his wife Nellie. Her three children adored her and will be forever in their hearts. Besides her three children, she leaves two granddaughters, Melanie and Rochellie Mejia and a grandson, Saeddien Mejia. She was the sister of Josefina Uribe of Maryland; Mary Ferrer of New York; Cecilia Collante, Carlos Jamboos and Enrique Jamboos residing in Colombia, two nieces, Yvonne Goldberg of Maryland and Marlyn Collante of Providence and many other nieces and nephews in Colombia. She was the sister of the late Eugenia de De La Salas, Rebeca de Narvaez, Olga Jamboos and Ernesto Jamboos.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at 11:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, 69 Quincy Ave, Pawtucket at 12:30pm. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Boulavard, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will begin Saturday morning at 9am.

Nacida en Colombia, llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1983 estableciendo
su residencia en la ciudad de Pawtucket. Ella fue una persona
cariñosa y amable dedicada a su familia y amigos.
Alicia le sobreviven sus hijos, Karitzia Mejia, Eddie Mejia y Renzo
Mejia y su esposa Nellie. Sus tres hijos la adoraban y estara para
siempre en sus corazones.
Ademas, de sus tres hijos, ella deja dos nietas, Melanie y Rochellie
Mejia y un nieto, Saeddien Mejia. Ella era la hermana de Josefina
Uribe, residente de Maryland,E.U.A, Mary Ferrer, residente de New
York,E.U.A., Cecilia Collantes, Carlos Jamboos y Enrique Jamboos,
residen en Colombia.; dos sobrinas, Yvonne Goldberg residente de
Maryland, E.U.A. y Marlyn Collantes residente de Providence,E.U.A. y
muchos otros sobrinos y sobrinas en Colombia. Ademas, sus hermanas
Eugenia de De Las Salas, Rebeca de Narváez, Olga Jamboos y su hermano
Ernesto Jamboos ya fallecidos.
Su funeral se celebrará el Sabado 22 de enero a las 11:30 am desde la
Casa Funeral Keefe, en el Cinco de la Avenida Higginson, Lincoln,RI.,
con una misa de cristiana sepultura en la Iglesia San Juan Bautista,
en el 69 de la Avenida Quincy, Pawtucket,RI a las 12:30pm. El entierro
será en el cementerio de Swan Point, Blackstone Blvd., Providence,RI.
