Juvenal E. de Nobrega, 86, passed away on March 1st. He was the husband of Ilda (Martins) de Nobrega, of Cumberland, RI.
Born in Madeira Island, Portugal, a son of the late Francisco and Lourenca de Nobrega, making his home in Cumberland.
He was employed for more than 30 years with Texas Instruments in Attleboro, MA, until his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa DaCosta, Brian J. DaCosta, and a grandson, Colby DaCosta.
Juvenal was the brother of the late Cecilia Dagama, Delta Ferreira, Maria Alice Franco and Salvador de Nobrega.
He also had many loving sisters-and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and countless lifelong friends who were his extended family.
Known by many as “Uncle Gene” had a passion for cars and love for soccer. He took great pride in making his famous carne espetada and always had a good joke to tell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 4th at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland.
Relatives and Friends are invited to arrive at the church at 10:00 A.M. to pay their respects. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Working on Walking, 7 Sneech Pond Road, Cumberland, RI 02864 and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
