On Thursday morning, March 3rd, 2022, Bertha Edna Washington, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Bertha was born on March 21, 1940, in Pawtucket, RI and was a long-time resident of the 315 Park Ave apartments in Cranston. Bertha was predeceased by her parents, Charles Washington, and Edna (Smith) Griffin, five siblings, Delores Washington, Donna M. Roberts, Cynthia F. Johnson, Carol Ann Guinyard and Harold “Sony” Washington. She was a proud member of the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe.
Bertha leaves to cherish her memory her son Willie Washington & wife Ilda Amado-Washington, sister Charlene Spadola, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Bertha was the rock of her family, and a mother to many of her nieces and nephews. She loved her family and was always ready to listen, help and support her loved ones. She is at peace with her parents and siblings. Bert will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4pm-7pm on Friday, March 11th in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
