Born in Shelby, NC, on July 15, 1921, a daughter of the late Wil and Hattie (Jefferies) Schenck; Evelyn had resided in Providence since 1949. Her life touch many others; a part owner of a restaurant on Camp St in 1956-57; worked at RI Hospital; ran a daycare program for many years and has volunteered as a foster grandparent. Evelyn leaves 4 children: Rev. Jessie L. Dudley; James Schenck, Sr.; Evangelist Hattie Levy; Min Jacqueline Wagner,all of Rhode Island, her only living sibling, Jake Schenck, 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 23 great, great, grandchildren. A Home going service will be held Thursday, Jan 27, at 11 A M from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, off Smithfield Ave, Lincoln, RI. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit starting at 10am. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence
