Genoveva L. Alves, 70, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 in Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Julio Alves. Born in Brava, Cape Verde she was a daughter of the late Antonio J. and Belmira F. (Fernandes) Lomba.
She is survived by a loving son, Anthony Alves of Pawtucket; a grandson, Daishon of Pawtucket; four siblings, Maria F. Barros of Atwater, CA, Catarina F. Dalomba of Pawtucket, Julio F. Dalomba of Pawtucket, Jose F. Dalomba of Central Falls; a godson and nephew, John Lomba and many other nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel F. Dalomba and Joao F. Dalomba.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral which will begin at 8:30am on Friday, May 13th from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Scituate, MA. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 12th from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
