Lori Roberts Voisinet, age 56 of Pawtucket, passed away July 1st, 2022, with her family by her side, holding hands, at Rhode Island Hospital.

She was born on August 31st, 1965 to her late father Dallas Linnell Roberts, and is survived by her mother Constance Eva Roberts (Delude). Lori graduated from Blackstone Millville High School in 1983 where she went on to study Radiography at CCRI in 1987.

She married Robert Voisinet in October 2011, and they lived in Pawtucket happily together with their pets for 11 years until her passing. She is survived by her children: Victoria Belair, of Pawtucket; Rebecca Champagne, of Lincoln; Rachel Diaz, of Pawtucket; Andy Champagne, of West Deptford, New Jersey; Heather Voisinet of West Greenwich; and Auryn Dudley, of Warren. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Autumn, Lorelai, McKenna, Hunter, Emilia, Angel, Isaiah, and Sophia.

Lori was a revered member of the Native community and held a strong faith in her beliefs. As a proud Native woman, she dedicated her life to helping bring people together through spirituality and culture. Known lovingly as “Mama Bear”, she passed on her deep love for connecting families to all of her children. Lori had spent the past 18 years fighting colon cancer and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Always a fighter, when asked how she was feeling she would say “I’m feeling with my hands” and she always assured her family “I’ll be fine” even through all the grueling chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Despite her battle with cancer, she always made time for her family and for those that she loved. Up until the end, she was doing what she loved best, cooking for and feeding her family. She will be missed deeply by many.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2022 from 2pm and 5pm at the Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln, Rhode Island at 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865. Her family requests that her stories and her love be shared with others so her legacy continues to live on.
