John P. Unarie, 91, passed on July 8, 2022 with loving family by his side. He was the longtime life partner to Anna Lefrancois, of Central Falls, RI.

John was born and raised on the Fiji Islands and remained proud to his Fijian heritage for his entire life sharing happy memories of the "Old Country," with everyone he knew and everyone he met! He then migrated to Leicester, England for approximately ten years working for an engineering company that transferred him to a sister company, Cumberland Engineering, in Pawtucket, RI.

John was a true British gentleman in every sense of the word. Quiet in nature, kind and generous and never, ever swore! John valued the simple things in life. His favorite pastime was being with Anne and spending quality time with family and friends who loved him very much.

Besides Anna, he is survived by his daughter, Dianna Beaulieu, his two sons; Benjamin and wife Shadna Unarie, and Nigel Unarie, four stepchildren Joseph Gerard Lefrancois, Michael Lefrancois, his wife, Alpha, Susan, her husband Thomas Afonso, and Richard Lefrancois, his wife, Joann, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

We will miss you deeply, beloved partner, father, stepfather, grandfather, great grandfather, and loyal friend.

"In who he was...in how he lived...in who we are, because of him. Your love will live on forever in our memories!"

Private burial was at Arnold Mills Cemetery in Cumberland, RI.
