The Reverend Deacon Carol L. (Haigh) Millette, 80, of Providence, formerly of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022, after a brief illness. She is survived by her four children, John Wudyka and his children Kerrie, Sarah and Tyler, Cheryl Demers, her husband Jean, and their daughters Meghan and Ashley, Cathy Charon, her husband David, and her sons Stephen and David Rascoe, and Christiana Getchell and her husband Adam. She was the sister of Michael and Paul Haigh.

Carol was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Church of Rhode Island on April 5th, 1986. She served at St. Peter’s and St. Andrew’s Church and the Church of the Messiah in Providence, and St. Luke’s Church in Pawtucket. Outside of her ministry, she worked and fundraised for several community centers and non-profits in Rhode Island, including the Nickerson Community Center, the Southside Community Land Trust, and the Mount Hope Neighborhood Association in Providence and the WARM Shelter in Westerly.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 300 Westminster St, Providence, RI 02903 on Monday, August 8th at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers or donations, please do something kind for someone.
