Joseph Silva Britto, 89, of Pawtucket, RI passed away on Monday, August 15th at Miriam Hospital. He was born in Providence, RI to the late Lino Britto and the late Sebastiana (Delgado) Andrade Britto, both of the Cape Verde Islands. Joseph is survived by his wife, Alice Britto, his daughters, Olinda Britto and Corine Britto. He is also survived by his sister, Paulina Britto, and his brother, Manuel Britto. He worked as a longshoreman at the Port of Providence for 30 years until his retirement in 1995. Joseph was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother. He was a generous and caring person who enjoyed wood working and the outdoors. He loved to engage people in conversation and never held back his opinions.
A wake for Joseph Britto will be held on Sunday, August 21st from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. Live streaming will be available.
