Alvaro Pires, 84, passed peacefully on September 1, 2022 at home.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a son of the late Antonio Domingos Lopes and Tancha
Pires.
He had been employed by the Conrad-Jarvis Corp for 34 years with 26 years of perfect attendance.
Alvaro has 10 children residing in Angola and a son in Pawtucket.
He is also survived by nine siblings, Francisco Pires, Daniel Lopes, Maria Gomes, Dee Andrade, Julia Alves, David Lopes, Adelina Lopes, Manuel Lopes, Linda Brown, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren a dear friend Evo Britto who helped him keep his independence and pride, even throughout his illness.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning starting at 8:30am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln followed by a mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 11am. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Pawtucket.
