Delmira S. Silva "Doraty", 87, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Miriam Hospital Providence. Born in Brava, Cape Verde Islands, she was the daughter of Jose N. Sequeira and Amelia S. Sequeira. She was the wife of the late beloved husband, Joaquim Da Silva. She is survived by her children, Jose Da Silva and wife Julia, Amelia Cardoso and husband Daniel, Virginia Silva and husband Antonio, Benjamin Da Silva, Ana Paula Brito and husband Amandio, and Clarinda Silva and husband Pedro; 14 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
Doraty immigrated to the United State in 1996 to Pawtucket, RI. She frequented Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Everyone who knew her adored her because of her kind heart, warm smile and selflessness. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends sharing memories of Cape Verde Island and Angola, while everyone enjoyed her delicious pastels and "gufunguinhos".
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, September 20th from 4:00 - 7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Her funeral will begin at 8:30am on Wednesday, September 21st at Keefe Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 291 High St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Riverside.
