Maria Ventura, a long-time resident of Pawtucket, died suddenly on Monday the 26th of September.
Born in 1937 in Maia, S. Miguel, Portugal. She immigrated to America with her family in 1973.
Mrs. Ventura worked at Monet Jewelry for 25 years until her retirement. She lived happily and enjoyed her retired life while spending time with close family and friends.
Maria is the daughter of Jose Bernardo Pereira Medeiros and Virginia Freitas Pereira Medeiros. Maria loved good food and socializing, enjoyed crocheting and relaxing under her grape vine with her husband.
Maria is survived by her husband Joao Ventura, Sons Carlos Melo, Joe Melo and Osvaldo Melo, 6 grand children and 2 great grand children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30th from 4pm until 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1st at 10am in St Anthony Church, Lawn Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. All services Saturday start at St Anthony Church.
