Julio F. Medeiros, Jr. was the son of the late Julio F. Medeiros, Sr. and Theresa (Bessette) Medeiros and the brother to the late Richard Medeiros, and Dolores Napoli. He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island where he lived most of his life until moving to Pawtucket, RI in 1985. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Madeleine (Marchand) Medeiros whom he Wed on February 27, 1965, his son and daughter-in law Julio and Kathy Medeiros from Freeport, PA, his son Mark Medeiros from Sitka, Alaska, his daughter Rebekah Medeiros from East Providence RI, his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Pat Medeiros from Georgia, his brother and sister-in-law David and Kerrin Medeiros from Woonsocket, RI, his sister Carolyn Girard from Warwick, RI and his seven grandchildren: Isaac Medeiros from Los Angeles, CA, Dean Smith from Freeport, PA, Ariana, Annabelle, and Christiano Azevedo from East Providence, RI, and Sienna and Brayden Jorge from East Providence, RI.
Referred to by his family as “Junior,” he was a devout Born-Again Christian who spent hours daily in the Bible, having served as a Baptist Deacon for several years at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Pawtucket, RI before moving his membership with his wife to Ocean State Baptist Church in Smithfield, RI where it remains to date. He often held Bible studies at the homes of friends and relatives and at nursing homes, through much of his adult life.
Julio (Junior) was a crack shot mechanic who often spent his Saturday’s fixing cars for friends and family. He served honorably for 7 years as an Army reservist and 5-Ton truck driver in the 483 Engineering Battalion, Taunton, MA from 1965 thru the early 1970s. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who brought his sons up in the outdoors. He worked more than 40 years as a tool and die maker for Pawtucket Fasteners until retiring in 2018. Throughout many of those years, he worked second and third jobs in security and as an armored car driver to Boston, MA.
Julio (Junior) loved to share Christ with anyone he would meet, and would tell them about the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for the remissions of their sins. His wishes were that this message be shared with everyone and that they know that how much Jesus loves them and calls for people to place their trust in him as their personal savior.
