Natalina DeAndrade, age 56, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away on Saturday November 19th peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brava, Cabo Verde, she was a daughter of Lucia Pina and the late Henrique Fernandes DaRosa. She resided in Brava until the early age of 5 years old when she moved to São Vicente. She spent most of her youth in São Vicente using her charisma and talent as a hair stylist to make others feel beautiful and confident as she felt internally.
Natalina migrated to the U.S. in 1996 and settled in Pawtucket, RI. She was very ambitious and immediately landed a position at Unico as a housekeeper, then Wrentham Development Center where she worked for 24 years as direct support staff and just recently as an adaptive clothing designer. She also worked at Laurelmead as a caretaker. Although she worked long, hard hours, she always made time to do hair on the side for people she cared about, that was her way of giving back selflessly to others.
Among some of her many abilities, was her unique way of making others smile by cracking jokes, that ability made her an easy magnet to make friends everywhere she went. She lived her life wholeheartedly, she loved to dance, shopping, travel and had a passion for fashion and interior design/decorating, she had a way of making everything she touched turn beautiful. Natalina was a fashion Queen; loved heels, jewelry, purses, clothes, shoes, perfume were her weaknesses.
Her magnetic personality, selflessness and relentless smile makes it difficult for anyone who crossed her path in this life to forget her! There was nothing more important that Natalina enjoy than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, she was a proud Nana. She was devoted to her family and faith; she was happiest when her family gathered. Natalina was always there to give advice or offer her help in any way she could.
She is survived by her loving children, Adelino Lopes and Jessica Lopes; grandchildren: Jhene N. Perry, Julian A. Lopes, Aaliyah A. Lopes, Jhonathan L. Guzman, and Jaliath J. Lusiak; significant other, Olavo Dalomba; sisters, Idelina Lima, Maria Soares, Eugenia Andrade, Ana DosSantos, Carlotta Andrade, Maria Gibau; brothers: Eduardo Mendes, Jose Andrade, Henrique Andrade, David Mendes (late), Joao Mendes (late), Olivero DaRosa; 35 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
