"AL" 71, passed February 23, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Soper)
Cordeiro. Born in Sao Miguel, Portugal, a son of the late Jose and Maria (Botelho) Cordeiro. AL was a member of the Allied Craftsman Union Local 1, Boston. He worked as a cement finisher at Hart Engineering for 25 years and retired from JL Marshall & Sons in 2001. In his retirement AL enjoyed fishing, boating, working in his garden, and spending time with friends and family. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Alan B. Cordeiro and Erik Cordeiro, 4 sisters, Isaura DaCosta, Laura Dauphinais, Suzana Chaput and Anna Cote, a brother, Urban "Eddy" Cordeiro, 4 grandchildren, Alexander, Victoria, Zachary and Dylan Cordeiro. His funeral will be held Monday at 9:45 from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence at 11am. Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the St. Edward Food Bank, 997 Branch Ave, Providence RI 02904 or to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association in memory of his beloved late niece Kristen Cote, 801 Roeder Rd. Suite 1000, Silver Spring MD 20910.
