FORAN, ETHEL A. "SARAH" 86 of North Attleboro passed away March 8, after a very long illness. She was born in Scotland To Joseph and Elizabeth Jamieson. She traveled to America at 4 years of age along with 3 of her young siblings. She was the wife of Alfred Foran, a fireman in Central Falls, who died in 1978.

Ethel was preceded in death by two sons Alfred Foran Jr. and James Foran, two sisters Peg Ward and Betty Smith, and two brothers James Jamieson and George Jamieson. She leaves behind sons Thomas R. Foran and wife Lorinda of California, Michael Foran and wife Pamela of North Attleboro and daughter Janet Petit and husband Michael of Narragansett. Ethel also leaves behind sisters Millie and Shirley, daughter-in-law Adrienne, grandchildren Alicia, John, Jessica, Chris, Kyle, Jill, Jimmy, Sarah and Allie. She loved her family and friends, her home was welcoming to all and her keen sense of humor was ever present.

Ethel was an avid cook and widely known for her chowder and clam cakes and baked beans. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Services will be private.
