Richard Henry Toledo Perez, 55, beloved husband of Adriana Grajales and father of Sebastian and Santiago, passed away on April 12, 2023. Born to Rafael Vicente Toledo and Yolanda Perez, he was brought up in Medellin, Colombia alongside
his siblings, Soraya, Rafael, Juan Carlos, and Claudia.

Richard was a devoted member of his community and provided unfettered guidance and support to those around him, including strangers and newcomers to this country. He had a unique and unfiltered way of communicating, always speaking his mind and engaging in lively debates with anyone who was up for the challenge.

Richard's greatest joy was bringing his family together around the kitchen and dining table, where he would spend hours whipping up dishes and regale them with stories of his adventures. Richard's humor and wit were unmatched, and he could always be counted on to lighten the mood and put a smile on everyone's face.

Richard's passion for nature led him to spend much of his time outdoors and traveling, often seeking the company of animals. In fact, he even had a short stint as a veterinarian.

Richard is also survived by cherished nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the memories of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI) on Monday, April 17, from 5 – 8pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Matthew's Church (1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island) on Tuesday, April 18 at 9:30 am.




El mundo perdió un verdadero personaje con el fallecimiento de Richard Henry Toledo Pérez a la edad de 55 años. Richard, amado esposo de Adriana Grajales y orgulloso padre de Sebastián y Santiago, partió el 12 de abril de 2023. Nacido en Medellín, Colombia de los padres Rafael Vicente Toledo y Yolanda Pérez, creció junto a sus hermanos Soraya, Rafael, Juan Carlos y Claudia.

Richard no era solo un miembro dedicado de su comunidad, sino que también era el tipo de persona que brindaba orientación y apoyo sin importar quién lo necesitara, en especial a aquellos recién llegados al país. Su forma de comunicarse era tan única como él, siempre diciendo lo que pensaba y debatiendo en torno a sus principios.

Pero lo que realmente hacía a Richard especial era su habilidad para reunir a su familia alrededor de la cocina y la mesa del comedor. Pasaba horas cocinando platos increíbles y compartiendo historias de sus aventuras más locas. Además, su humor ingenioso y su inteligencia hacían que siempre fuera un placer compartir con él.

Richard también tenía una pasión por viajar y disfrutar de la naturaleza, no era raro verlo rodeado de animales. De hecho, incluso tuvo un breve paso como veterinario.

A Richard le sobreviven muchos sobrinos, sobrinas, familiares y amigos queridos. Su presencia y su carisma serán profundamente extrañados, pero su legado de amor, risas y bondad vivirá en los recuerdos de todos los que lo conocieron.

El velorio será en Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI) el lunes 17 de abril, de 5pm hasta las 8pm. La misa se celebrará en St. Matthew's Church (1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island) el martes 18 de abril a las 9:30am.
