Joao "Nenei" Rodrigues, 59 of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on Monday, June 12th, 2023.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde on April 29,1964, Nenei was the son of Eduardo & Cidalia Rodrigues. He was preceded in death by his brother John Paul Rodrigues. Nenei is survived by his siblings: Joao DaSilva, Gaudencio Rodrigues, Carlos "Cacai" Rodrigues, Eduardo Rodrigues, Aguinaldo Rodrigues, Walter Rodrigues, Francisco Rodrigues, Osvaldo Rodrigues, Maria Dias, Carlos Rodrigues, Viatro Rodrigues, Claudine Rodrigues, Marlice Rodrigues. Along with several sister & brother in-laws and many nieces & nephews.
Loved by everyone, Nenei was the life of the party, and lit up the room. His passion for music and dancing was certain to put a smile on anyone’s face. To have known him and to have loved him was a privilege to us all. We will all remember the days of his infamous birthday parties, and countless laughs shared. Nenei held many occupations one year he was the Pope, another a Doctor, followed by a Musician, at times even a Police Officer. Among all his occupation Nenei loved to draw & write. These are just some of the countless memories we will forever treasure.
His smile was contagious, his personality was mesmorizing. Nenei affected all those he met, and touched many hearts. To think this remarkable man was truly loved by everyone who ever met him. He will be forever in our hearts.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, June 15th from 5pm-8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. His funeral will begin on Friday, June 16th at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave. Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
