Leila Jabra Abdul-Ahad (Em Eddy), 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 28, 2023. Leila was born on August 1st, 1934, in Jerusalem. She was the third of eight children that immigrated to Syria in 1947 and married to Touma Wehbe and moved to Beirut, Lebanon in 1954. She was an active athlete, strong, independent, loving mother, great grandmother, outstanding cook, and a religious woman.
She is survived by her sons Eddie Wehbe who resides in California and Jacques Wehbe and her daughter- in- law Mireille Osko Wehbe. She was a beloved "Teta" to four grandchildren (Trestin, Mary, Dillane & Taj).
Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling hours Friday, June 30th from 9am-10am followed by a Funeral Service at St. Ephraim's Syriac Orthodox Church, 215 Washington St. Central Falls, RI. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of Flowers, memorial gifts may be made directly to St. Ephraim's Syriac Orthodox Church.
