Gary J. DiPina, 67, of North Providence passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2023. Born in Cranston, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph P. DiPina, Sr. and Ruth Theresa Amaral.

Besides his parents, Mr. DiPina was the devoted brother to Joseph, Jr. and Shay DiPina; Lisa (DiPina) Sacks; Marie Monteiro-Mello; Yevette (Monteiro) Boulris and Michael Monteiro; and Concetta (Musco) Reis, Angelo Musco, and the late Joan Dulin. Mr. DiPina also leaves a number of cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also blessed with the love of countless lifelong friends he considered extensions of his family.

Mr. DiPina was a retired member of the Maintenance Division with the RI Department of Transportation and was a longtime motorcycle instructor at the Community College of Rhode Island where he was able share his knowledge and passion for motorcycles with hundreds of new riders. In his early career, Mr. DiPina was a stevedore at the Port of Providence and a member of Local 1329, International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA), AFL-CIO.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI. Burial will be private.
